Best practices for configuring your Dialog product page assistant (PDP) if you run a sports equipment, cycling, racket sports, or sports nutrition brand.

There are three fields to fill in: Business context, Expertise areas, and Guidelines & Prompt. Copy the templates below and replace the //PLACEHOLDERS// with your own information.

1. Business context

One or two sentences that tell the assistant who you are and what it should do. Two formats work well, pick the one that fits your brand.

Option A: Expert technical advisor:

You are an expert advisor for //BRAND//, specialized in //CATEGORY// (e.g. fitness equipment, cycling, racket sports). Resolve customers' technical and commercial doubts with a clear, professional, and approachable tone.

Option B: Origin & values:

//BRAND// is a //CATEGORY// brand, [founded in //PLACE// / local roots]. We help each customer choose the product that fits their real use, budget, and level, without pushing unnecessary purchases.

2. Expertise areas

Expertise areas tell the assistant which topics it must master. Aim for 5–9 tags. Sports brands are almost always mono-vertical: pick the one sub-theme that matches your catalog rather than mixing all three.

3. Guidelines & Prompt

Guidelines control the tone and behavior of the assistant’s answers. Keep them short, write them in full sentences, and stay under 10–15 rules. For sports, the essentials are a professional-yet-approachable tone and precise terminology.

Terminology precision

Useful if your sport’s jargon differs by language.

- Watch terminology by response language
- Use //TERM_FR// in French responses
- Use //TERM_EN// in English responses
- Example: padel racket = "racket"; pickleball paddle = "paddle"
- Always use the correct term in the response language
