Drawer closes immediately

If the Dialog drawer opens and then closes by itself — right after opening, after clicking a suggestion, or after focusing the input — it’s almost always a setup or script issue on your store, not a Dialog bug. Work through the two causes below; if you’re not sure which install path your store uses, identify it first.

A JavaScript conflict with your theme or another app

Another script on the page can intercept the click or focus and force the drawer shut. Disable your other apps one at a time, reopening Dialog after each, until the drawer stays open — that isolates the conflicting app. Once you’ve found it, ask that app’s developer to resolve the conflict, or remove the app.

Installation wasn’t completed correctly

The drawer can also close immediately when your storefront wasn’t fully configured during installation. If disabling other apps doesn’t help, this one is on the Dialog team to finish — escalate with your store URL below and we’ll fix it.
