Verify your install

Once Dialog is installed, run through this checklist to confirm everything is wired up before you start using it fully.

  • Add-to-cart is functional. Open a conversation with Dialog, click the Add to Cart button in the drawer. If the cart doesn’t update, see Add to cart issues.
  • Dialog toggle is activated in the Shopify theme customizer (Embed apps section).
  • Suggested questions are relevant. Go to app.askdialog.comProduct Questions and review them. Regenerate or edit if they feel off.
  • Dialog bubble appears on your product page. Open a product page and look for the widget.

Once all items are checked, Dialog is ready to work for you.

Each failing item has a dedicated troubleshooting guide: widget not visible, add-to-cart not updating, suggestions not loading. Run the matching guide first — if it doesn’t resolve it, Before you contact support tells you what to send.
